Mende Community pools


An indoor pool in winter and an outdoor one for the summer.
Recharge your batteries all year round The Mende swimming pool !
It has every facility that a 25 x 12.5 metre city swimming pool could have.

In summer we have a beach area, entertainment, a pool open all year round and a bar.

Chanac Swimming Pool

Piscine-municipale de Chanac
The municipal pool in Chanac (20 km west of Mende) is open from Tuesday to Sunday in July and August, from 9 am to 1 pm and 3 to 7 pm



The lac de Ganivet.

Currently closed for bathers.


Landscaped lake for swimming, pedaloes and canoeing, while on the shore you can enjoy petanque, walking, biking or just cooling off, a glass in your hand and your feet in the water!



Moulinet Lake

Lac du Moulinet, baignade en Lozère

A lake where you can swim, or try out a pedalo or a canoe.

You can also play boules, take a long walk, go on a mountain bike trail or just cool off with an ice cream and your feet in the water!


The River Tarn


In summer when the river is calm, take a relaxing swim.

Of course anyone who cannot swim, and all parents, should beware of the dangers of swimming in fast-flowing water.

Try to stay where swimming is supervised.



Naussac Lake

Near the Nautical Club near Langone, 45 minutes from Mende, you can try sailing, pedaloes and water skiing.

The Lac de Villefort


An hour from Mende, near Villefort, the lake is fully equipped for water sports.

Lake Villefort was awarded the Blue Flag in 2010.
The Blue Flag is a symbol of excellence.
